Be good to your skin this holiday season!
Try this organic face mask that is sure to help with the following:
- Large Pores
- Fine Lines / Wrinkles
- Loose Skin
- Oily Skin
- Premature Aging
- Black Heads
From a previous post I've stated that I like to use up whatever is currently in my fridge/pantry before going to the store to buy anything.
In this case, I had a leftover avocado and I thought to myself, "This would make a good face mask". Then I went on Pinterest searching for some ideas of what other ingredients I could use. Honey - nope, don't have that. Lemon - no. I really wanted to do a vegan face mask however, everything was a bust. BUT I did have eggs and I did have coconut oil, so I decided to combine those ingredients and throw them into my NutriBullet.
- 1 Avocado (Organic)
- 1 Egg White (Organic)
- 1 Tbsp Coconut Oil (Organic)
1. Once mixed into a paste, using a (clean) makeup brush, build a few layers onto your face.
*I recommend using a spin brush/cleansing tool on your face prior to applying this mask. This way your pores are unclogged.*
2. Let dry for 15-20 minutes (I also used a hair mask during this time as double duty, that I will share on a later post).
3. Wash off with a clean washcloth and warm water.
4. Follow with a Vitamin C serum, Retinol-A and moisturizer.
Store in the fridge, will last up to five days - I stored mine in a mason jar ;)
Avocados have anti-aging properties that moisturize the skin leaving it feeling extremely hydrated. Avocados contain Vitamin C & E and are also full of antioxidants.
Why Egg White?
Egg whites contain astringent properties that tighten your skin and pores. It lifts the skin while reducing blackheads, fine-lines and wrinkles. This is great for those who have oily skin, as it reduces the build up of oil.
Why Coconut Oil?
Ok, why not coconut oil? I'm sure a lot of know or have heard the benefits of using coconut oil ;) but for those of you who don't... Coconut Oil works as a deep cleanser that removes make-up and excess oil. It works as an anti-bacterial shield which fights infections as well as reducing facial wrinkles. Coconut Oil aids in fighting premature aging and is safe for all skin types.
Let the [RESULTS] speak for itself!
Top Left: One week ago, no makeup.
Bottom Left: Immediately after 1st treatment.
Right: 7 days after doing the face mask every other day for a week.
Want to try this face mask, but don't want to use an egg?
Try Red Wine or Lemon which act as astringents as well.
