IT'S GLOW TIME

Skincare has become all the rage this year and this summer is no different. Skip the usual make-up routine and use these products to achieve the perfect summer glow:

Concealer

Because your skin needs all the oxygen it can get in this summer's heat (it's supposed to be the hottest on record again you guys!). Your skin is essentially a filter, giving it a break with all that heavy foundation will do wonders for your pores. Use concealer on imperfections like scars, dark spots, light spots, dark eyes, etc. Try to find a shade as close to your face's skin tone (not your body) as possible and then another shade two shades lighter for under eyes.

Contouring

Strobing

W H Y ?

Let's face it, nothing is worse than when your makeup starts to run due to sweat, and contour can easily become uneven. Try strobing (aka highlighting) instead to accentuate your features, giving you the perfect glow... without the fear of your makeup going to sh*t.

Matte Lipstick

Gloss

W H Y ?

While Matte Lipstick will ALWAYS be in, a new trend is approaching... glossed nude lips with a little shimmer. Not going to lie, I've always been obsessed with a glossy lip. Gloss makes your lips look big and pouty. Not to mention gloss is the easiest to apply (and not stress on).

Focus on obtaining the perfect base - ahem... great skin!

Daily Dose:
- 8 to 10 glasses of water
- Avoid sugar and sweets
- Don't sleep with make-up on
- Don't tan your face!
- Apply sunscreen to your face daily
- Moisturize AM and PM
- Use a face mask weekly or every 3 days
- Don't pick at your face and try not to touch your face throughout the day
- Clean your phone screen! It's a breeding ground for bacteria. Since I've learned this I tend to use speaker more lol.

Also, I've started incorporating Aloe Vera Juice to my diet and since doing much research on the benefits of AVJ, studies have shown it improves skin's overall appearance!
